New Blogger: Zen and the Art of Baby Horse Management

Nicole and Murray

Nicole, an eventer, started her blog, Zen and the Art of Baby Horse Management, last Fall and most of you equine bloggers probably know her by now. If you don't, you definitely need to. I've really enjoyed her training recaps due to her informative, yet very entertaining, posts about her horse, Murray. Murray is definitely a horse with a lot of personality who's antics will leave you laughing. On top of that, Nicole is a very interesting person, which you can read about here (she's seriously done some really cool things).

Stop by Nicole's blog to get to know her and Murray. You'll be glad that you did.

New Blogger:Two Points, Tacos, and Tiaras

There are those horse bloggers that jump into the equestrian blogosphere and immediately just fit right in. From that first post, you like them. Micaylah from Two Points, Tacos, and Tiaras is definitely one of them.

Micaylah is a college student that balances school, work, and riding with an amazing sense of humor and a great outlook. Her horse, Riesling, is a thirteen year old OTTB that she has competed H/J on in the past, but is now focusing more on dressage with. Micaylah has a way of writing about her rides that will leave you looking forward to reading more about her and Riesling's adventures under saddle. Who doesn't like a blogger that can make a riding recap super entertaining?

Oh, and she loves all the shiny things as you can see in her post The Life of a Bling-aholic (one of my favorites).

So, if you haven't yet, stop by and visit Micaylah and Riesling at Two Points, Tacos, and Tiaras. They're fantastic!

New Blogger: The Adventures of a Floppy Ammy

I occasionally have a hard time rembering the names of new blogs, but from the first time I saw The Adventures of a Floppy Ammy, I remembered her blog. Why? Because the title is genius. Obviously.

Shauna and Boca.

From the title it just gets better. Shauna has a great sense of humor and always brings a laugh in her posts. She has an adorable ten year old APHA gelding named Boca (make sure to read about how she came to acquire him here). I highly recommend following this thirty-something re-rider's hunter/jumper adventures with the lovely Boca! She is upbeat, fun, and easy to relate to. Her posts are well written and very enjoyable to read. You won't be disappointed.

Welcome to the equestrian blogosphere Floppy Ammy!

If you are a newer equestrian blog and would like to be highlighted, please send me an email at jodiperkins1984 at gmail dot com.

New Blogger: Lux & S2

We all know how hard it is to get started in the blogging world. It can be very intimidating. To help out, I thought that I would highlight new bloggers as I find them.

Because not many of us out there have worn or will wear these in our careers.

For the first highlight, I give you Lux & S2. S2, a retired jockey, and Lux, an OTTB, are now pursuing new careers as eventers. I think that the perspective of a retired jockey retraining an OTTB will be very interesting to read about!

So, stop by her blog when you get a chance and welcome S2.

If you are new to blogging, send me a message or leave a comment and I would be more than happy to feature you.
